Prepositions



          Prepositions are used to show positions, directions , time , etc 
          Prepositions of Place of Positions
   
                in , on , at , under , above , against , beside , behind , between          

 Examples :
He put the money in his pocket.
Alvin is standing on the chair.
Someone is at the door.
Johnny hid under the table.
He held the paper above his head.
Lina leaned against the wall.
Sarimah walked beside her mother
Sanson was chained between two pillars.
My school is beside a big mosque.

Prepositions of Directions
( to , over , from , along , across , around , up , down )
Examples :
Basri cycle to the left.
The deer jumped over the fence.
They arrived from Singapore yesterday.
I saw him swimming along the river.
The little boy ran across the road.
She became dizzy running around the field.
They kept climbing up and down the tree.
Preposition of Time
( in , on , at , for , during , since , after , before )
Examples:
My uncle died in 1980.
The show is on Monday.
The train will leave at 8.00 p.m.
He studied all day for two days.
Nina visited us during the holidays.
We have not gone jogging since Sunday.
They went shopping after dinner.
She brushed her teeth before going to bed.
